Just wrapped up a full interior renovation on High Street in Mosgiel. The homeowners had already stripped all the wallpaper themselves and wanted the place completely freshened up with smooth walls, white ceilings, light grey walls and all the woodwork painted white.

Working With the Budget

Originally the plan was to skim coat every room, but once the renovation costs started to add up that wasn't realistic. From there we worked out a plan to fully skim the rooms you spend the most time in; the lounge, kitchen, dining room and entryway.For the rest of the house we sanded back the walls, did Gib repairs where needed, spot plastered and prepped everything properly before painting.

New Paint Job Made a Huge Difference.

A dark stained varnish covered the skirting, architraves and trim which aged the house dramatically. Getting that prepped and painted white was probably the single biggest change, as it brought the house back to life and made it feel brand new again.We used Dulux throughout and finished with Gib TradeSet for the stopping work.

Three Weeks Start to Finish

The whole job took about three weeks, working through the plastering, prep and painting stages while fitting in with the rest of the renovation.
